“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.” (Colossians 1:21-22)
Dear Friends:
The word’s economy has been in a down turn these recent years. Many countries have tried by all means necessary to stop this down turn. Everyone had hoped that 2011 would be the year to right the ship, but following the problems in Egypt, Libya, Yemen and other countries, 2011 no longer feels like the year that the world economy will rebound. Aside from these various man-made problems, we’ve had natural disasters, such as the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. To make things worse, radiation is also leaking from the nuclear reactors affected by the tsunami. Why has the world be so hard on us? At home, things are not much better. Federal, state and local governments are running huge deficits, and services are being cut, with funding for education and social services being hurt the most. Many people have lost their jobs. With the possibility of terrorism still on the horizon, we are still at a high state of alert. We are still involved in several wars in different parts of the world. Most of this uncertainty has been created by human sin, and this sin is rooted in the hunger for power, selfishness, pride and prejudice.
The Lenten Season is the season for reconciliation by penitence and forgiveness through self-examination, self-denial, reading and meditating on God’s Holy Word. Only then can we really see and appreciate what Jesus had done for our sins. If we participate in the passion of Jesus we will share in His resurrection in Easter. For those that have become disconnected from the church for whatever reason, this is the best time to reconnect and renew your relationship with God as well as the church. True Sunshine is sponsoring an Easter Luncheon after the Easter Sunday service. We welcome you to participate in fulfilling our mission. True Sunshine needs you.
Please join us at True Sunshine for the following services and devotions during Holy Week. This season is also a season for us to make a special donation to the church in thanksgiving for or in remembrance of our loved ones who are now at rest in God’s arms. Enclosed with this letter you will find an Easter offering envelope. As you know, in years past, we have used this special offering to support our outreach programs and we plan to do the same this year. Please give prayerful consideration to the gift you will make.

二零一一年復活節
親愛的朋友:
近年來世界各國的經濟都非常低迷，各國政府用盡一切可能的辨法來解救越來越利害的赤字，大家都寄望2011年是經濟的轉機年，但因埃及，利比亞，也門及其他地方，使得這個希望幻滅；除這些人為的因素之外，近日的天災如日本的大地震和海嘯，再加上核能輻射的洩漏更是雪上加霜。為甚麼這個世界如此苦待我們？在國內，我們的情況並沒有好得多少，各級政府都拚命刪減經費，特別是教育和醫療影響最大。不少的人失業、恐怖份子可能來襲的警告都困擾著我們。我們仍然參與不同國家及地區的戰爭；這些不穩定的因素都是由人類的罪惡而做成的；這些罪惡是根源於對權力的慾望、自私、傲慢與偏見。
大齋節是一個藉著自我反省、自我否定、研讀和默想上帝的話語來達到饒恕及懺悔，從而與上帝和人們修好。惟有這樣我們才能體會到耶穌為我們的罪而受苦。如果我們與耶穌一同受苦，我們便可與他一同復活。那些因著某些原因而與教會失去聯絡的人，復活節是一個很好的時刻與上帝及教會恢復和更新關係。真日光堂在復活節崇拜後，為大家預備了一個復活節的午餐，非常歡迎您回來參與我們的事工，我們需要您。
請參加真日光堂下列在聖週及復活節期間的聚會，這季節也是一個為感恩和紀念已在主懷安息的先人而獻上奉獻的時間。
