Easter 2010

Dear Friends,
This year’s forty day Lenten Season is almost over. Have you walked with Christ in the way of your faith? Did you get a sense of what Christ had to suffer for our sins? Did you get a new and contrite heart? Did you make yourself ready for a new chapter in your life? I hope that you are having a fruitful season. We, as Christians are looking forward to the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus. This Easter will be a special one for you in True Sunshine.
Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection has brought us salvation and hope. It has also brought us faithful leaders to build-up and to maintain the Church. I would like to invite you to take part in this Easter’s Celebration.

4/4 7:00am CCU Sunrise Service in Congregational Church, Portsmouth Square
10:00am Combined Easter Eucharist
Some of you have not have participated recently in the activities of True Sunshine, because of health, relocation, or other reasons. True Sunshine has changed a lot. Our After School program (from Monday to Friday) is one of the best in the Chinatown area. On Sundays, we have a Sunday School for adults between our two services, a youth group and an ESL class. On Saturdays, we have a Food Pantry, which has been serving 300 families each week. This is a good opportunity and season for you to get involved in the excitement of this big family. Aside from the scheduled Holy Week and Easter services, I would like to also invite you to our Home Coming Sunday on May 23, 2010. On that day, the Day of Pentecost, we will celebrate True Sunshine’s 105th Anniversary. After the 10:00 a.m. service we will hold a luncheon with entertainment at a nearby restaurant. Please mark your calendar and plan to join our big family. True Sunshine will always welcome you.
Enclosed you will find an Easter offering envelope. As you are aware, we have in the past used this special offering to support our outreach programs. With an increase in outreach programs this past year, please give prayerful consideration to the gift you will make.

親愛的朋友：
今年四十天的大齋節，轉眼間又快過去了，您是否在信仰的路上與基督同行呢？您是否領略到基督為我們的罪而受苦呢？您是否得到一個新而懺悔的心呢？您是否預備好自己要展開生活中新的一頁呢？我衷心的希望您有一個充實的季節。我們作為基督徒的，都渴望著主耶穌之復活。真日光堂今年的復活節，將是個非常特別的復活節。
耶穌之犧牲和復活，為我們帶來了救恩與盼望，同時也為我們帶來忠心的信徒來建立和維繫教會。在此我邀請各位來參與這復活節的慶祝活動。

4/1 晚上6:00 最後晚餐日－ 聖餐及濯足禮
4/2 中午12:00 至下午3:00 受苦節 －十架七言
4/3 晚上6:30 復活節守夜禮
4/4 早上7:00 晨曦崇拜（與基督教聯會合辦，在花園角剛紀慎教會舉行）
早上10:00 復活節中英聯合聖餐崇拜
近來您們中間或許有些人因為搬遷、身體健康或其他原因而未能經常參與本堂的活動；您可能不知道真日光堂有了很大的變化；現在每星期一至五，我們的課後輔導班，是華埠最好的課後輔導班之一；在主日我們在兩堂崇拜中間有成人主日學，有青少年和英語班的活動；在星期六我們的糧食派發事工，每週派發給三百個家庭。現在正是一個好時機，有更多參與這個大家庭的事工。除了聖週和復活節的活動外，我們更為您在五月廿三日，星期日，計劃了一個「回家主日」，在這日正是聖靈降臨節，也是真日光堂的一百五十週年的日子，請您在日曆上記下這日子，希望您能回來看看，真日光堂是隨時歡迎您的。
隨函附上復活節奉獻封乙個，請經過禱告後奉獻，像往年一樣，支持本堂的福音事工，今年真日光堂會有更多的外展工作，敬請慷慨奉獻。
我非常渴望您和您的家人一同回來敬拜上帝和參與聖工，願上帝祝福您和您的家人，有一個快樂的復活節。
